Have you ever wondered where did the saying “Tissot, is a poor man's Omega" come from then read on. Louis Brandt started the company in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1848. At first he assembled key-wound pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen. After Louis Brandt's death in 1879 his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar took over control of the business. In 1930 Omega started to produce different watch lines such as the Tissot under the SSIH name. Current Omega collection include Moon Phase, Constellation, Seamaster, Seamaster GMT, Chrono Diver, Racing Chronometer, , Aqua Terra Railmaster, Speedmaster Professional, , Aqua Terra Chronometer, Broad Arrow, and De Ville Co-Axial Power Reserve. Omega brand name is currently owed by the SMH Group.
