In 1950's Rolex re-issued S/N's causing same records to appear twice. The Roman letter (I, II, III & IV) on some Oyster Rolex watches denotes first, second, third & fourth quarter of the year. Foe example case # 610656 inside case marked II-49 means that the watch was made in second quarter of 1949.
